I have no idea why GB wouldn't let you reopen the Citgo on New Ave in Romeoville while I was allowed to do so. I doubt I could do so because I was the one who posted it closed a year and a half ago. I know I've reopened other stations where I was NOT the one who closed them. BTW, a great big THANKS for keeping those of us in the Chicago area updated on the possibility of price hikes. It's really appreciated!!!

Apparently not what you thought. I thought they could bump it wherever the moderator wanted, which is apparently what happened. http://www.jacksonvillegasprices.com/Forum_MSG.aspx?master=1&category=1056&topic=581555&page_no=1&FAV=N I wish they're get rid of the "More points..." top topics because they're outdated. Those that are here obviously already know about it, or if they don't by now, it won't make a difference. And the new members don't need to know something was coming because they're new and the "new" features are already here for them.

I saw your post about primary cars' lifespans. You had a Saab for a long time?! Look at my username and guess for me!

No, didn't buy in Chicago. Bought in Seattle. The highest gas prices in the country are in the little settlements in remote Alaska. There $10 gas exists. Other than that, Hawaii, California, and midtown Manhattan (NY) are the most expensive, but Chicago and the rest of the West Coast are also up there. Wyoming, Nebraska are the cheapest but Texas and NJ have cheaper areas.

You're right. Not a little dip but a big dip in prices around 2008-2009. I don't remember $1.60's. Around here it was possibly in the low $2. However, I do have gas records for all gas purchases from 2005-present so I can always check the price I that I paid.
